HF, VHF Packet Modes
Currently the software is implemented for 300 and 1200 baud
operation for the PK-232, and 300, 1200 and 2400 Baud
operation for the MFJ-1278.
To initiate a connect press Alt-C. This will pull up the packet
connect list dialog box. Select the station that you wish to
connect with and TAB to the Connect button. If the baud rate
is included in the stations entry, the TNC will be set to
the correct baud rate. A future version will also set the
frequency if rig control is present.
If you desire a station that is not included in your connect
list press Alt-C a second time, this will place a small
dialog box on the screen. Enter the station or node,
including any VIA's and press the enter key.
NOTE -> If you do not wish to use the connect list
feature, either delete or rename the file
"packet.dat" in the program directory. If this is
done only the manual dialog box will be displayed.
If you wish to issue a disconnect press the Alt-D key
sequence.
